New Delhi, 11 October: On Sunday with 74,383 new cases in 24 hours India's tally touched 70 Million total infections.

 

As per union health ministry updates, the number of fatalities due to COVID-19 reached 1,08,371 after 918 new fatalities.

 

India's becomes the second-highest worst-affected in terms of COVID-19 cases just after the USA.

 

And third highest in terms of fatalities after the US and Brazil.

 

Also, India's coronavirus recoveries have crossed 6 million as more and more patients have been recovering from the virus, as per the health ministry.

 

Furthermore, Maharashtra is the worst affected state in terms of Coronavirus caseload, with over 15,17,434 cases with 2,21,156 active cases. And 40,040 succumbed so far.

 

Followed by Andhra Pradesh with 7,50,517 total cases, with 46,624 active cases.

 

In India so far more than 9.68 million tests has been conducted.

 

Meanwhile, India's first COVID-19 vaccine Covaxin is currently conducting Phase II and III human clinical trials of the candidate in India.
